I'm blogging live from the Keynote of the TYPO3 Developer Days 2010 in Elmshorn.

Sorry for the abrupt ending. The battery of my notebook is a bit old ;)
Robert talked about the further transition vom 4.x to 5.x. Which worked out very well until now. Extbase and Fluid ported to v4 are great and we have a lot of expoerts for Domain Driven Design and Testing now in the Community.
He introduced the new Release Manager Team, which is made up by Steffen Kamper, Ernesto Baschny and supported by Benjamin Mack the Release Manager of 4.4.
Gina and Thomas added some more organizational stuff and Jochen Weiland explained the TYPO3 Flag Photo Contest. Every attendee received a TYPO3 Flag and the goal is to take pictures with it all over the world during the holidays. 2 iPads and some TYPO3 books are the great prizes for this.

TYPO3 Phoenix was released. The Codename was chosen because something should've been released but "TYPO3 5.0" would have been misleading because the stage of development is too early.

Robert talks again. He gives a backview to T3DD09. 50 Devs less than this year. Kickoff of TYPO3 4.4. At T3CON09 in Frankfurt there was the first presentation of the UI of TYPO3 Phoenix. He also refers from San Franciso TYPO3 Camp. The community in the U.S. is growing. There also was T3CON10 in Dallas. "You must almost quit your job to attend all TYPO3 events."

The core team strives around in the audience. They introduce themselves and chat bit with the devs. Just had short talk with Karsten Dambelkans.

Gina presents a few numbers regarding the Developer Days. 210 Developers are here. 37.551 postings on TYPO3 Mailing Lists last here. 3.000.000 Hits for "TYPO3" in Google. 500.000 TYPO3 Installations worldwide up and running. That's 175.000.000.000 lines of TYPO3 Code spread over the Internet.
